We spent months collaborating with perfumers on a scent that truly recreates and honors the deep, woody richness of the sacred Palo Santo (“holy wood”) tree native to Peru, Ecuador, and many Central and South American countries. Since the Incan era, the fragrant wood has been ritualistically burned to cleanse a space of bad energy, and the oil is said to have purifying and healing properties. Our rendition features calming top notes of cedar and mint, middle notes of cypress, and eucalyptus, and warm base notes of sandalwood and amber.

Candle Directions: Always trim wicks to 1/4 inch before lighting (we suggest using a wick trimmer). The first time you light your candle, let it burn for 3-4 hours to allow the melted wax to reach the edge of the container to prevent your candle from tunneling. 

Candle Safety: Follow the 2 foot rule - don't place a burning candle near clothing, books, curtains or anything flammable. Place candle holders on a stable, heat-resistant surface that is sturdy and large enough to catch any melted wax. Keep lit candles away from drafts, ceiling fans and any air currents. Never leave a burning candle unattended. Extinguish all candles when you leave a room or before going to sleep or if the flame gets too close to the candle holder or container. A candle should not be burned for more than four hours at a time. For a margin of safety, discontinue burning a candle when 1/4 inch of wax remains in the container.

Reed Diffuser Directions:
Remove the stopper from the diffuser and place the reeds into the bottle. Flip the reeds weekly. Do not place the bottle on any surface that may be damaged by perfume oils. Neither the seller nor the manufacturer is responsible for misuse of diffuser.

Reed Diffuser Caution:
Irritant, may irritate eyes. May irritate skin. Do not ingest. Do not get on skin or clothing. Keep out of reach of children & pets. Do not place bottle, reeds, or cap directly on fabric or finished surface as it may cause damage. Evaporation will vary due to different air conditions.

Reed Diffuser First Aid Treatment:
If swallowed, call a poison control center or doctor immediately. Do not induce vomiting. If in eyes, rinse well with water for 20 minutes.

DOMESTIC SHIPPING

Most orders ship within 1-5 business days, excluding holidays. If you do not receive an order confirmation email within 2 weeks of placing your order, you can contact support@brooklyncandlestudio.com for a status update. Please note that USPS and UPS are also experiencing delays with delivery. We are unable to offer any expedited shipping options at this time.

The above are processing times and do not account for the time the package is in transit. Priority Mail is typically delivered within 1-3 business days. UPS Ground usually takes 1-5 business days. You will receive a shipping notification with tracking information once your order leaves our studio. 

Why hasn’t my package arrived yet?
If you are waiting for a package in transit, it may arrive later than expected as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL are all experiencing higher-than-normal package volume. This can cause packages to be delayed, as well as less scans along the way. If your package is lost, we will replace it. If your tracking information is showing that a label has been printed, your order has been packed and is awaiting it’s next scan. Please understand that these delays are longer than ever due to the pandemic and completely out of our control.

Why won’t my tracking information update?
Because of the overwhelming amount of packages at shipping facilities, it is taking longer to get every package scanned at each point in the transit process. Please reach out directly to the carrier if you are having an issue with your tracking information. We at Brooklyn Candle Studio do not have any additional information other than what is already provided via the tracking information.

REFUNDS + EXCHANGES

At Brooklyn Candle Studio, all of our products are carefully inspected before they are shipped. Due to the nature of our products, used candles, reed diffusers, and room mists cannot be returned or refunded. However, we will replace or refund products damaged during shipment if photographic proof of damage is submitted to Brooklyn Candle Studio within 7 days of delivery.

If you have received the wrong product or are missing a product in your order, please let us know within 14 days of your order being delivered.

You may return your unused products for a full refund of your purchase price, less shipping and handling within 14 days of delivery. The customer is responsible for paying return shipping charges. Please contact us at support@brooklyncandlestudio.com for further details.
