A Night to Remember: Our Anniversary Celebration

Over the years, Brooklyn Candle Studio has grown from a small-batch creator to a full-fledged home fragrance studio rooted in Brooklyn’s creative spirit. This year’s celebration felt extra special because it marked one year since we opened our doors of our retail store in Industry City. In that time, we’ve created a space where our community can discover and experience our fragrances firsthand. It has become a place to connect, share inspiration, and continue growing our creative community in Brooklyn.

This event was our chance to pause, reflect, and say a massive thank you to every person who has supported us: our team, our local community, our online friends, and everyone who’s lit a candle, given one as a gift, or simply shared the love.

Highlights from the Night

One of the best parts of the evening was celebrating this milestone surrounded by our friends, family, and creative partners, including influencers, fellow small business owners, and neighbors from across Industry City. It meant so much to gather with the people who have supported and inspired us throughout the years, and to reflect on how far we’ve come together. 

A highlight of the evening was our raffle, featuring prizes from our longtime partners, Brooklyn Nets and Exit9 Gift Emporium, as a small gesture of thanks to our community for celebrating with us.

Before the night came to a close, guests received gift bags filled with thoughtful products from some of our favorite brand partners, including Well People, Eva NYC, ban.do, and Areaware, as a token of our appreciation. It was the perfect way to thank our community for being part of our journey and to share a few of the brands we love alongside our own creations.

Reflections and Gratitude

This anniversary isn’t just a celebration of the past year. It’s a moment to reflect on how far we’ve come and where we’re going next. We remain committed to sourcing sustainable materials, from 100% soy wax to phthalate-free fragrance oils, and to maintaining cruelty-free, small-batch production. We’ll keep deepening our connection with the community, both online and in person, so that every candle we make feels personal, meaningful, and considered.

Looking ahead, we’re excited to explore new scent stories and design directions while staying true to our minimalist aesthetic and nature-inspired scents. And, most of all, we’re looking forward to hosting more gatherings like this one: opportunities to meet our supporters, hear your stories, and celebrate the candle-loving community that makes Brooklyn Candle Studio what it is.
