6 of Our Best Luxury Candles
There is no better feeling than getting cozy with a cup of hot tea, a fuzzy blanket, and a classic chick flick while your home is filled with the aroma of your favorite smelling candle. Everyone has their favorite scents—whether yours is pumpkin spice and apple pie, or sunscreen and saltwater, smelling them most likely triggers happy thoughts and a feeling of excitement or comfort.
Brooklyn Candle Studio takes smell quite seriously. One study shows that certain smells can trigger emotions and memories. We're sure you've taken a whiff of certain food and have been instantly transported into the past where you were eating your favorite childhood meal.
Why Our Candles Are So Great
Our candles stand apart from other candles or candle companies for a few reasons, but the main one being our ingredients. Compared to our candles, the standard candle has a multitude of differences, one being the wax itself.
There is a common misconception that all candles are made from the same kind of wax, but that is false. The wax used to make candles differs from the candle company you're purchasing from, as well as the company's beliefs and commitment to the consumer.
We pride ourselves on using American-grown soybeans. Using soy wax is the most ethically responsible choice as soy wax is derived from a natural vegetable wax—AKA soybeans. Soybeans are, of course, all-natural, as opposed to paraffin wax which is the more common alternative candle wax.
Our luxury candles are so great because you can always count on them to last longer, burn more evenly, and keep your home perfectly scented—not too overpowering, but still giving you plenty of fragrance to appreciate.
How To Pick the Right Candle
Knowing which luxury candle to buy all depends on what your scent preference is. It can be tricky if you're ordering candles online, as you can't necessarily smell them to see if they're what you're looking for.
Lucky for you, that's why we have set up a special quiz that you can take that will match you up with what we believe will be your favorite scents.
We suggest you take the quiz before purchasing any candles online; this way, you aren't blindly buying candles just off the descriptions and reviews.

How To Burn a Soy Wax Candle the Right Way
Now that you have a shopping cart full of amazing-smelling candles, we think it's important you know all the tips and tricks to preserving your candles and preventing annoying things like black soot around the rim.
- Always trim the wick: Trimming your wick before you first light your candle is an important step that should never be skipped. If you don't trim your wick, it can lead to uneven burning and prevents the jar from collecting black soot.
- Don't cut the first burn short: You would think that burning your candle for less time would perverse the wax, but you want to make sure you don't cut it short for the first burn. If you don't allow the wax to completely fix the candle's surface from rim to rim, it can cause the wax to burn quicker in the future.
- Don't burn the candle for too long: After your initial first burning (three to four hours), it's key that you don't burn your candle for too long. This, for obvious reasons, can mess with the integrity of the wax. We suggest a few hours at a time.
In Conclusion
Candles give you all those warm feelings. That's why we have such a passion for what we do. We want each of our customers to experience what we get to experience every day, and that’s amazing smelling candles that make us feel good!
