Position Summary: We are seeking a motivated, qualified individual to join our company as Senior Production Manager. As part of our operations team, this individual will organize and oversee the production of our home fragrance goods and the production department’s personnel, as well as the supply chain aspects associated with this position. You will ultimately be responsible for the smooth operation of all product lines and the quality of output. We expect you to have deep production, supply chain, and operations know-how. As a manager, we expect you to have experience leading a growing team and be able to clearly communicate with both team members and vendors. This role is a critical connection between our production staff and the highest levels of management. 

Team management, problem-solving, supply ordering, negotiating prices, and overall quality control will take up a great part of your day. You will need to be both a big-picture thinker and someone who “sweats the details.” The goal is to ensure an efficient and productive studio while respectfully and effectively leading and motivating a team.

  • Oversee personnel of Production Department including a team of up to 15 people
  • Lead and engage production team by setting and meeting regular production goals; work with department managers and leads to optimize efficiency and production output
  • Forecast annual production volumes and raw materials needed in conjunction with Senior Director, Sales + Operations
  • Regularly review staff performance, including formal evaluations, and make suggestions to senior management regarding staff plans; hire team members as needed
  • Report and record daily production output; develop ideas and goals for improvement; creates and implements techniques to optimize production output
  • Communicate with vendors, overseeing ordering of all production-related materials and price negotiations
  • Oversee daily production schedule and assign duties to team members as necessary; steps in to assist with production, as needed
  • Take a keen interest in machinery that we currently use; research technological upgrades and facilitate integration for new equipment in conjunction with department managers; assist in machinery troubleshooting as needed
  • Lead regular meetings with Production Department
  • Work closely with subdepartment managers and shipping department to develop and implement new systems, as needed (e.g. batch tracking, FIFO, QA/QC)
  • Use inventory management software, DEAR, to place purchase orders and reconcile raw materials received
  • Work with  Senior Director, Sales + Operations to address studio needs, ensure production of new products is on track for samples and launch dates
  • Identify and communicate any safety precautions that need to be taken and facilitate implementation


  • Experience managing a growing team, supply chain coordination, and production operations
  • Comfort using spreadsheets and performing basic modeling to forecast material needs, manage daily production schedules, and negotiate pricing
  • Strong listening skills
  • Impeccable communication, both written and verbal
  • Ability to understand overall operation and delegate tasks accordingly
  • Self-starter and exceptional problem solver
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Experience with wholesale business and warehousing a plus
