We are searching for an experienced Production Manager to organize and oversee the production of our home fragrance goods and the production department’s personnel. You will be ultimately responsible for the smooth running of all product lines and the quality of output. We expect you to have deep production and operations know-how. As a manager, we also expect you to have experience leading a growing team. This individual should also take a keen interest in space management and solutions and assist in optimizing our warehouse space and keeping materials flowing in an organized fashion.

Decision-making, problem-solving, and quality control will take up a great part of your day. The goal is to ensure an efficient and productive studio while respectfully and effectively leading and motivating a team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee personnel of Production Department; leads and engages production team through setting and meeting regular goals; work with department leads to optimize efficiency and production output
  • Reports and records daily production output; develops ideas and goals for improvement; creates and implements techniques to optimize production output
  • Coordinates daily production schedule and assigns duties to team members; steps in to assist, as needed
  • Reports production staffing issues to Director, Production + Development to make necessary resolutions
  • Lead regular meetings with Production Department
  • Work closely with Director, Production + Development and Shipping Manager to develop and implement new systems, as needed (e.g. batch tracking, FIFO, QA/QC)
  • Assist in troubleshooting machinery issues, as needed
  • Researches technological upgrades and facilitates integration for new equipment in conjunction with department Director and team leads
  • Perform regular raw materials inventory and reconcile in inventory management software; flag reorders and report to Director, Production + Development
  • Develop an onboarding process to ensure employees are trained in multiple areas and train/onboard all new employees
  • Manage Wonolo platform, listing jobs and hiring workers, as needed. Oversee temporary workers while they’re onsite
  • Communicate studio furniture and equipment needs to Director, Production + Development as they come up
  • Identify and communicate any safety precautions that need to be taken to Director, Production + Development and facilitate implementation
  • Provide excellent on-site management and leadership for Production Team
  • Manage palletized inventory, as needed
  • Ensure pallets are accessible per weekly needs and production schedule
  • Work with Director, Production + Development to coordinate any freight transfers from third party storage to BCS studio
  • Receive freight shipments, as necessary
  • Receive and organize packing lists, ensuring the shipment received matches the packing list and reconcile in inventory management software
  • Perform production duties, as needed, such as wicking, pouring, labeling, etc.

  • Experience in similar warehouse environment

  • Experience with wholesale business, warehousing, and managing a team

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
